From all the offers submitted by top European corporations and consortiums, only Cyes Infraestructuras, the German firm Strabag and Belgian Jan de Nul were prequalified to tender for this major construction project in December.
The investment of around one hundred million euros, co-financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), KfW Entwicklungsbank (Germany) and Zadar Port Authority itself, will enable meeting both the present demand for ferry traffic between Croatian islands and also allow cruise liner berthing, by creating twelve new berthing lines with a total length of 1420 metres and building two hundred metres of dock. The works will also include the execution of three hundred metres of piers to form a new fishing port and fitting out all the land infrastructures required for the new terminals to run normally.
Cyes-Viadukt Joint Venture has got through the preclassification process handled by a commission made up of representatives and experts, from both Croatian Authorities and the most important international engineering companies and financial institutions.
