
Our Human resources policy is intended to ensure the workers’ full integration and their commitment to the company’s objectives and mission, at the same time as fostering continuous development and improvement of their skills and capabilities in line with the following premises:
The selection and provision of staff is based on the annual detection of staff requirements in order to efficiently guarantee meeting the company’s strategic objectives in the medium and long term. The basic principles followed are giving priority to internal promotion to guarantee the professional development of workers, incorporation of the most appropriate professionals going exclusively by merit and capacity criteria, and guaranteeing that talent remains at group companies.
Cyes gives relevant importance to the continuous training of its workers and to their development. In 2008 a total number of 25,996 hours’ training were given at a total number of 522 courses, the main training given being in the area of prevention of occupational hazards.
The cyes Group promotes practical work at our companies by students in their final years as grant holders, by means of cooperation agreements signed with different bodies, associations and universities such as Aidico, Valencia Polytechnic University, Valencia University and Professional Training Institutes.
Internal communication is considered vital for making all our staff feel part of a common project. From this standpoint, the organisation seeks to act with clarity and transparency at all times and has set up different supports and action to ensure proper communication of important information of interest for all workers. Some of our internal communication channels are the internal bulletin Noticyes, the corporate Intranet Tu portal cyes and our notice boards.
Protection of workers is for cyes management an objective with the same priority as quality, conservation of the environment or the company’s competitiveness. This concern is explicitly documentarily stated in the Safety Policy, set up in 2000 and materialised in the development of a System for Prevention of Occupational Hazards implemented at the company and certified with Rule OHSAS 18001 since 2006.
Thanks to this commitment a health and safety culture has managed to be established that can be seen in all the activities that cyes undertakes, materialised over the last few years in accident rates under the average for the sector.
